Blackmer Mistral Screw Compressors are dry running,
oil-free, screw type air compressors used in many mobile
transport dry-bulk offloading applications. These
oil free machines deliver clean, non-pulsating air, free
from contamination.
No contamination means clean product transfer for a wide
range of applications such as cement, plaster, talc,
small grain sand and other powders.
Blackmer
screw compressors are virtually maintenance free due to
the non-contacting high speed screw design. Cast iron
bodies, steel shafts and
bronze bushings provide many
years of maintenance free service. The only regular
required service is an annual oil change.
Mistral
screw compressors may be run up to 2,000 RPM and provide
flowrates ranging from 415-720 Nm3/h (244-423 cfm) and
provide a high volume of compressed air, up to 2.5 bar
(36 PSI), to keep the dry bulk materials in suspension.
Keeping dry materials in suspension is critical when
off-loading and flowing through piping from truck to
plant piping and finally reaching storage silos.
Mistral compressors were developed with
easy installation in mind. Compressors can be installed
using any of the mounting lugs on either side or bottom
of the compressor and can be fitted between tractor
chassis rails. Units can also easily be mounted to base
units for stationary applications.
Any number of drive methods may be used to power the Mistral
compressors. Most common are PTO shaft drives,
hydraulic motor, diesel engine or electric motor
depending upon installation location and application.
Complete package units (intercooler/enclosure) are also
available.
Blackmer provides a full line of accessories to
complete the Mistral installation: Intake air filters,
relief/check valves, mufflers/silencers, torque limiters
and reversers.
For dry-bulk applications that require reliable operation,
easy installation and years of maintenance free service,
you can count on blackmer screw compressors.
