| Reciprocating Gas Compressors |
Blackmer
liquefied gas compressors are designed for maximum
performance and reliability under the most demanding
conditions. Freons, propane, CO2 and other gaseous
products are hard to handle. Premature seal failures,
system noise and vibration are a few indications of the
cavitation inherent in most of these applications. Many
liquefied gas transfer applications can be handled more
efficiently with a gas compressor than a liquid pump. In
loading and unloading applications, a reciprocating
compressor can recover up to 97% of the tank car's
capacity, far beyond the 88% a liquid pump typically
recovers. Increased product recovery, reduced maintenance costs and
increased profitability are benefits realized with this
technology. Reciprocating compressors are also used to
boost natural pressures for internal processes, fill
aerosol cans, recover freons, and many other
applications in the chemical process industry.
